The Dev Team was able to make a few improvements to PwnageTool, notably a fix for the iBooks problem we reported this morning. PwnageTool also includes two very recent improvements to the 4.2.1 JB: iBooks was just fixed by @comex and @pushfix last night so that it works as intended on DRMed books, and the wifi problem on AppleTV 2G was fixed by @nitotv, @DHowett, and @saurik. PwnageTool 4.1.2 has been released by iPhone Dev Team to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 4G/3G, and iPad (firmware 3.2.2). This new version brings some bug fixes faced by OS X 10.5.x users.
It is a new and modded PwnageTool that jailbreaks iPad and brings Cydia back to life on iOS 4.2.1. However there is one disadvantage with this tool (with all jailbreak tools for iOS 4.2.1 till iPhone Dev Teams comes up with a new solution) that it provides tethered jailbreak which means you'll have to connect to PC every time to put the iPad into jailbreaked state.

Step 1: Download iOS 4.2.1 for iPad.
Step 2: Download modified PwnageTool 4.2.1.
Step 3: Download the latest iTunes version.
Step 4: Put all the above downloads in one folder just to ease the process.
Step 5: Back up your iPad contents with iTunes before starting the actual jailbreak process. Now close the iTunes but leave the iPad connected to PC via USB cable.

Note that: After building your bundle with Cydia. YOU HAVE TO BOOT YOUR DEVICE WITH LATEST REDSN0W EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO USE IT- ELSE: No stock apps will launch after boot.

PwnageTool 4.3.2 has just been released bringing untethered jailbreak support for iOS 4.3.2. The updated version of PwnageTool includes the @i0nic's untethered exploit. As usual PwnageTool 4.3.2 is for Mac users only. It is to remind you that PwnageTool is used to build custom iOS 4.3.2 .iPSW files while preserving the baseband enabling iPhone users to use the latest version of Ultrasnow to unlock their devices on iOS 4.3.2.
